Outreach Canada is part of a larger global story!

Outreach Canada was one of the original founding members in the OC Global Alliance (OCGA). Today, the OC Global Alliance has 15 Mobilization Centres around the world - one of which is Outreach Canada!  

Looking back to our roots, Craig shares the story of the birth of the OCGA, as well as the newest development for the OC Global Alliance: the new Global Collaboration Hub! This is the first article in a mini-series on the OC Global Alliance (OCGA). 

Communication and collaboration in intercultural environments are complex at the best of times, but the pandemic created new levels of complexity for our global alliance. However, through creative intentionality and simple technology tools, we were able to expand and improve many aspects of our teamwork over the past few years.

In 2009, in response to its growing opportunites and challenges, One Challenge (OC) International took a big risk to respond to its growing international ministries.

One Challenge International was founded in 1952 as an American non-profit mission. It's purpose was to communicate the Gospel of Jesus Christ and missionary teams were eventually present on five continents.

The OC Global Alliance, of which Outreach Canada is a member, has established a special OCGA COVID-19 relief fund to help “majority world” missionaries as they serve internationally through this crisis.
