Bosco Tung
As Diaspora Ministries Team Lead, Bosco Tung helps churches and ministry leaders share Christ across cultures and engage Canada’s diverse communities. He supports ministries such as Loving Muslims Together and Caring for Wounded Hearts, developing partnerships and resources that strengthen their work.
Bosco serves on the leadership team of the Canadian Diaspora Network. His background includes pastoral leadership in a Korean-heritage church and serving as National Director of Mobilization at SIM Canada. He has worked in church partnerships with Compassion Canada and in an advisory role with Tyndale’s Intercultural Ministries Centre.
Bosco holds a Master of Theological Studies from Wycliffe College, University of Toronto, with studies in urban leadership and international development. He also serves as a senior leader with Lausanne Movement Canada and global Lausanne initiatives, connecting leaders across cultures and generations.
Having grown up between Hong Kong and Toronto, Bosco is committed to helping churches share Christ across cultural boundaries. He wants diaspora Christians to be recognized as fellow leaders and partners in God’s mission, whose gifts and experience help shape the Church’s life and witness.
Bosco lives in Toronto with his wife, June Hur (a Korean novelist and #1 New York Times bestselling author), and their children, Johanna and Benjamin. His parents share their home too, bringing three generations together under one roof. Bosco enjoys photography and exploring different cuisines. Tell him what you’re in the mood for, and he probably has a favourite place to recommend.
