Kurt serves as a Workplace Chaplain with BetterIt Workplace Chaplains, visiting workplaces weekly to listen to workers’ stories and build meaningful, supportive relationships. His role is shaped by a commitment to being present with others and offering a compassionate, steady presence in their everyday lives.
Kurt has spent most of his career working alongside marginalized and vulnerable communities. With experience as both a pastor and a mental health worker, he brings a thoughtful blend of pastoral care, practical support, and emotional insight to his chaplaincy work.
He is passionate about this ministry because he believes every person has inherent value rooted in their humanity—not their performance—and he seeks to recognize the image of Jesus in each individual he meets.
Outside of work, Kurt enjoys woodworking.
