Thankful for a Warm Welcome
Last week, on a warm summer evening, Phil and Lorna Johnston graciously threw a welcome party for our family to celebrate our new chapter with Outreach Canada. If you’ve read our profile or have seen our picture you’d know that, as a family, we can fill a room… or, in this case, a backyard garden. It was a lovely evening of getting to know people and learning about how the Lord has invited them into ministry work of all kinds. While it was such a treat to meet those who were able to attend, I look forward to connecting with so many of you who make the ministry of Outreach Canada what it is.
My experiences so far coming aboard Outreach Canada have been warm and supportive. This is consistent with the exposure I had to Outreach Canada previously. Those whom I knew within the organization always struck me with their desire to serve others and willingness to be innovative and collaborative to achieve results. As I worked with the board to discern together how I might fit the needs of the organization, I was consistently reminded of the commitment to prayer, collaboration and grace that I had come to recognize in those associated with Outreach Canada.
Outreach Canada thrives on teamwork and has a rich history of partnering with local churches and organizations to advance the Great Commission in fresh and innovative ways. My aim is to ensure we continue to lead collaboratively, both in Canada and globally. I’m passionate about helping people grow in their understanding of Jesus, and I’m driven by the impact of ministry. At the same time, my background in business has taught me the importance of running an organization that’s not only impactful but also healthy, efficient, and responsible.
Right now, I’m in the phase of listening and learning, and that’s going to be my focus for a while. I’m thankful that the team is committed to helping me understand how I can serve them best to achieve results. I aim to be approachable and attentive, so please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have questions or needs or if you just want to chat.
Looking forward to many more connections and collaborative endeavors with you all!
Warm regards, Chad Bruneski
