Chaplain
Greg has been a Chaplain serving Vancouver Island in the Cowichan Bay area since 2017.
Greg’s working career began in Northern Alberta where he worked as a Marketing Representative for a Junior Oil Company in 1972, building 6 stations in 3 years before being promoted to Territory Manager in Southern Alberta. In 1979, he left to partner with his Brother-in-Law in an Auto Parts business they bought from their Uncle. After 10 years, Greg moved his family to Ontario to further his education, eventually becoming an Executive Director of a Retreat and Conference Centre near Guelph Ontario. Greg has been an Ordained Minister since 1995 and has been a Pastor in three Churches over the past 35 years before retiring in 2016. He holds a College Diploma in Business Administration/Marketing and a BA in Pastoral Ministry.
Today, Greg is involved with Workplace Chaplains and serves as a chaplain at a processing plant in Cowichan Bay. He leverages his 20 years of counseling experience to build relationships with the staff, pointing them to resources and/or specialized assistants when in need. The variety of cultures and backgrounds of the staff at the processing plant make it a very eclectic and interesting place to work, adding another exciting chapter to Greg's story..
