MissionPREP Program Assistant
Carolyn Benson is a Global Worker serving with World Partners since 1998. She counts it a privilege to be able to use her teaching and cross-cultural experience to help prepare God’s servants for effective cross-cultural ministry and debriefing them as they return. She assists her husband, Ken, the director of MissionPREP, as well as the MissionPREP Children’s team as a Program Assistant.
Carolyn and her husband, Ken were Global Workers in Portugal for 13 years where they raised their 2 daughters and were blessed to welcome two Angolan girls into their home for over 4 years. Carolyn and Ken also served in short-term projects in First Nations villages in the Northwest Territories and Northern Manitoba. Carolyn has been involved in training and debriefing global workers since 2011. As the mom of 2 daughters who grew up overseas, Carolyn enjoys encouraging children, teens and their parents as they navigate the joys and challenges of living cross culturally. Carolyn enjoys hiking, camping, spending time with her grandchildren and recognizing God at work in amazing ways. One of Carolyn’s favourite verses is Psalm 46:10 “Be still and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations.”
