Executive Director Announcement

OC Tech Services /Monday, July 29, 2024

After a careful and prayerful search process, the Outreach Canada Board of Directors is pleased to announce the appointment of Chad Bruneski to the position of Executive Director, effective August 1st, 2024.

The Board would like to thank each of our partners as part of the extended family of Outreach Canada. During this process your ongoing prayer and financial support have allowed us to continue the vital Kingdom impact of the Gospel in Canada and around the globe. It has also allowed us the time to reflect and listen to the voice of God about the next steps for Outreach Canada and the leader He wants for the future.

In the final interviews and conversations with Chad we began to hear words that affirmed the foundation upon which we could move forward with new energy and united leadership. Chad spoke early and consistently about coming “Alongside” revealing a Barnabas spirit that is common for our work. We heard the value of “Family” both personal and as a team which will operate with transparency and freedom. We heard the value of “Prayer” as a guiding discipline for Chad and Sarah personally as they shared the guidance of God through this process. And finally, we heard the principle of “doing it together”. We will need all of us united to pursue God’s voice into the future. We are confident that Chad’s collaborative, relational, and strategic leadership style will continue to help Outreach Canada accelerate the fulfillment of the Great Commission through the Body of Christ for years to come.

May we introduce our new Executive Director…

Bruneski Family

Chad and Sarah Bruneski, and their five children, reside in Chilliwack, B.C. where they’ve attended Central Community Church for the past 17 years. Chad and Sarah have consistently served in leadership positions within their church and now they take much joy in seeing their children explore opportunities to serve with passion and commitment.

Chad’s love for the local church was forged through the blessing of growing up in a beautiful family heritage that actively loved and served Jesus Christ. Chad’s father was a Pastor in the Baptist General Conference in Canada and the U.S. for many years and his mother consistently modeled gifts of hospitality and discipleship.

After completing his degree at Simon Fraser University, Chad was drawn into a sales career that resulted in several awards and acknowledgements over 10 years in the Pharmaceutical and Medical Device industries. Chad’s ability to learn and embrace an adaptive selling style helped him achieve top 5 sales in Canada three times while creating a reputation of success through service, integrity, and strategic planning.

In 2013, through much prayer and discernment with Sarah, Chad agreed to step away from his sales career and his role as Elder to help fill a void of leadership with the departure of their Lead Pastor. In Chad’s two years as Executive Pastor, he provided leadership to the launch of a second campus in Agassiz, B.C. and the search and installation of a new Lead Pastor, Matt Shantz, who remains in the role today.

Bruneski Family

Feeling compelled to enable Pastor Matt to build his own team, Chad resigned from his position on staff and the Lord opened the door to join the Great Commission Foundation (GCF Canada) as Vice President. Chad’s ability to work collaboratively with a team to build systems and structure to support growth positioned GCF Canada for years of unprecedented ministry impact. After his promotion in 2017 with a Board-issued mandate to grow, Chad spent his time as President and CEO leading the organization to double the number of ministries it served, which included expanding into Eastern Canada and launching a U.S. office to increase Global impact.

In accepting the role with Outreach Canada, Chad looks forward to working more closely with ministry leaders to strategically identify and engage opportunities to maximize impact. Chad believes his love for ministry and his business acumen can serve the Outreach Canada team well as they pursue the transformation of the nation of Canada by the presence of Christ in the life of people.

Special Note: As Chad comes into the office as of August 1, we will be setting up ways to connect, and you will be hearing about further opportunities to participate in this journey of faith.

Please, continue to pray that as Chad and his family join our OC family, we would quickly grow to love one another, and as we walk together by faith that God would build us up for greater impact in Canada and beyond.
