Ramón Padilla

After ten years serving in a Bible translation and Scripture engagement project in Oaxaca, Mexico with Wycliffe & SIL, Ramón joined Outreach Canada in 2021 as part of the Diaspora Ministries team. He now serves the Church in welcoming People on the Move with the hope and healing found in Christ.

Ramón’s area of specialty is listening carefully to diverse communities and partnering with front-line ministries already engaged with People on the Move, helping connect them to multilingual Scripture resources, story-based evangelism and discipleship methods, and other tools that create access to the message of Jesus in every language.

He is a trainer and facilitator in the Caring for Wounded Hearts program--an oral, Scripture-based resource adapted for Muslim-majority and refugee contexts--and a Qualified Administrator of the Intercultural Development Inventory® (IDI). Through training, mentoring, and coaching, he works together to build capacity in leaders, newcomers, and intercultural teams to respond more effectively to the pain and loss their neighbours have experienced.
