Carol Moerman
Carol serves with Simply Mobilizing Canada on the Diaspora Ministry team, where she helps develop and facilitate courses that educate and equip churches and followers of Jesus to effectively engage in the mission of God. She also trains followers of Jesus in a Discovery Bible Study process, equipping them to help spiritually open people meet Jesus and grow as His disciples through engagment with Scripture.
Carol, and her husband, Murray, originally came to Vancouver to plant a church focused on reaching the unchurched in their community. While pursuing Work an M.A. in Intercultural Studies, participating in the Perspectives course, and experiencing a community becoming increasingly ethnically diverse, Carol’s eyes were opened to the mission field right in her neighbourhood.
Carol wants to see the people of God equipped to effectively love, share the story of Jesus, and disciple those of every culture whom God is drawing to himself. She has a deep desire to see every disciple discover their place in the mission of God and effectively engaged in making and multiplying disciples of Jesus.
In her spare time, Carol delights in spending time with her married children and her grandchildren, working outside on her hobby farm, walks and talks with friends, and sampling all kinds of ethnic cuisine.
